You know what the majority of energy bites lack? Texture. And even though I'm totally into chewy semi-sweet goodness, sometimes I like a bit of crunch and just a tad of saltiness to break the expected rut. And here you really do have the best of flavors from the toasted almond flakes, crunchy pretzels, gourmand peanut butter, powerful chia seeds and more. These are not only good for you (have you seen the dreamy ingredient list by any chance?), but they're also gorgeous and would make a stunning homewarming/birthday present. And they're easy to store so you can also bring them to work for a healthy snack.

Never underestimate the power of perfume as it does show that extra effort and it never goes unnoticed. When smelling good comes to mind, these two fragrances have been such a discovery. Husband and I have both used Lacoste fragrances in the past. I've bought him Lacoste Essential as a birthday gift while I used to wear Lacoste Inspiration (a gift from my dad). When these two intensely, deeply colored bottles came into our hands, we really had no idea what to expect. The names suggested an impressionable pair of scents - and so they were.

If you, like I, have been dreaming of lavender fields to soothe the fact cloudy days are starting to be just a tad bothersome and melancholic - I'm opening the door to the most wonderful two products lavender afficionados will go crazy for. You know my philosophy - I like supporting natural, smaller brands of handmade products. Bosnian handmade natural cosmetics is such high-quality for an unbeatable price and here is another example of that.

For the majority of time I get my proteins from poultry and fish but when I eat red meat, I always (always!) go for rump steak. It's my fave, soo darn delicious, easy and quick to prepare, incredibly satisfying, has rich aroma and is heavy-duty regarding nutrition. I prefer to pair it with good basmati rice and veggies but I'd even eat it with some nice crispy pitta bread greased with melted butter (yum!). This plate, however, is packed with protein, carbs and fiber plus it'll give you enough fuel for even the most grueling of workout sessions.

If you wanted to have a sneaky peek into my everyday makeup bag or better yet, my winter essentials - all three products from these photos would be there. I'm always very impressed by smaller brands and how good their handmade skincare is. I love the fact you can get truly premium, high-quality products for a really affordable price. Packaging here isn't the focus (it's only important that it's functional and it shelters ingredients), nor is branding - and that's why the product itself is in the focus and the price is soo user-friendly.

I love making muffins - they are certainly one of my most favored desserts. What I really love about them is that you can so easily make them entirely out of healthy ingredients, without compromising fabulous taste. The person who triggered my muffin-making affinities was mu husband who is an amazing cook. Everything he makes is absolutely divine so when he asks me for feedback on a dish, I always mumble praise through many "mmmmhs" and "oooohs".These muffins were a joint result - they're exceptionally simple, don't get me wrong, it's that this time we pushed and pulled on the choice of toppings. In the end, we both decorated the heck out of these beauties.

I eat pasta and I really love it, but in moderation. Pasta is simply put - carbs. Carbohydrates, often referred to as "carbs", are your body's primary energy source and they're a crucial part of any healthy diet. Carbs (or any nutrients) should never be avoided but I think choosing smart in quality and in quantity is key to a balanced diet. If you're working out, eating pasta before a workout or after a workout would be smart (has a lot to do with glycemic index, will cover that at a later date). And if you had bread or pastry during the day (e.g. for breakfast), sensible thing to do is to leave pasta for tomorrow.

No one will be surprised to hear how much I love Bourjois as a brand as I'm especially fond of their foundations - their 123 Perfect CC Cream is my HG! But I think most of you know and remember them for their Healthy Mix foundations. For the longest time, they indeed were the best of the drugstore makeup world as they offer decent coverage, longevity and a fresh, non-cakey finish. I for one never thought there ever was a need for improvement but it seems that Bourjois thought ahead and prepared a revamp of, possibly, their most famous range.

When I think of cookies and cakes, baking comes to mind - and that's exactly what deterred me from making desserts in the past. I love the magical scent of baked cokkied but few failed attempts were discouraging. However I've discovered the wonderful world of raw, no-bake cakes which have revolutionized my vision of homemade sweets. Another bonus? Desserts can be very flavorful, nutritious and delicious and extremely filling - without the use of regular sugar and/or flour.

Natural makeup has impressed me so much over the years and I find that these two alverde products have become an absolute staple in my collection. I'm not the one to say that anyone needs something but I bet every makeup bag would benefit from having at least one of these to customize that everyday face uniform.

Tomorrow will mark two years that I've decided to change my lifestyle and yes, it was a New Year's resolution - as cheesy as it may be. But I've stuck with it! It's been and still is something I constantly work on but the results are so worth it. Healthy, balanced diet and regular workout have elevated the quality of my life and the key thing here is - food.

One of the easiest and healthiest desserts that I'm a fan of are the Dark Chocolate Dipped Clementines with Pistachios. These 3-ingredient wonders even sound fancy, look fancy and taste incredibly good. Just imagine how good juicy clementines go with the heart healthy dark chocolate and a sprinkle of chopped pistachios? Heavenly! It's the most addictive thing I've eaten in a long time and a shining example healthy food isn't boring but fun and delightful.

After trying Caudalie's Beauty Elixir, I felt like I completely gave up on any type of toners. Aggressive, alcohol-packed and overpriced, it was a slap on my wrist as I felt foolish for falling for the hype. Eventually, I came back to my trusty rosewater, it never fails me and I alternate between alverde organic Wild-Rose toner and the Thayers rose petal witch hazel toner.

Clinique Pep-Start consists of 5 products (there's also an SPF day cream and cleansing wipes) targeting younger, on-the-go skin that could just do with a bit of a wake-up. They're designed for fast lifestyles that don't have time to use an army of products. And I think Clinique totally nailed it with this range - it does exactly as promised. My husband and I have been addicted to all three pictured skincare items and I really don't think we'd be able to single out a favorite.

Previous year was certainly tumultuous, at times shocking even and I can attest that it was very rough for many people I personally know so I can understand why it's become a thing to hate on 2016. Don't be fooled, there is a "but". 2016. was actually awesome for me! It was a year of self-discovery, hard work, growing up and growth in general.
